It’s that time again, another one of my guilty pleasures is back on the air—the Bachelorette! I am honestly not as big a fan of the Bachelorette compared to the Bachelor…but I’m hoping Des will change this. I was extremely invested (maybe too much?) in Sean’s season of the Bachelor and Des was one of my favorites so I am excited to see her be the star.
On week one there are so many guys it’s hard to keep them all straight, so instead of boring you with too many details I am choosing to highlight a few…
Most Notable Entrances:
Diogo—The knight in shining armor.
I can’t believe no one’s done this on the Bachelorette before…seems like a logical entrance to me. Unfortunately it didn’t work out for him and he was sent home. Desiree’s response on Twitter was pretty funny, “Cant get over the real armor suit! I always pictured my knight in shining armor on a white horse with no armor at all ;)” @DesHartsock
I thought this was adorable. Little Brody stole my heart and definitely made an impression on Des. This worked out in his favor, Ben got the first rose.
Zak—the shirtless man.
Micah—The suit designer.
Front row, second from the left. I thought this was very sweet. Micah saw that Des designed her dress for the first night on the Bachelor, so he decided to design his suit for his big entrance. I was a fan, Des was not. Bye bye Micah.
My Favorites After Week One:
Drew—I feel like they will connect on a deeper level because they both had rough childhoods. He seemed very sweet and genuine.
- Let’s talk about Kasey…aka the king of hashtags. #marriagematerial, #iwantarose, #shrinkage?? Really? Enough already. By the second or third hashtag use I was annoyed. By the fourth and fifth I was actually laughing because it was ridiculous. Is this guy serious?
- Jonathan… The man that offers Des a fantasy Suite card upon their first meeting. He obviously did not do his research. In the words of Kasey, #fantasysuitefail.
- Brooks has a hideous hairdo. I said it. He first struck me as nothing but awkward but I think he will go far, and Jimmy Fallon predicted him as the winner… we will see.’
Do you watch the Bachelorette? What are your first impressions? Favorites? Least Favorites?
